Over the past eleven months, Chicago Volunteer Doulas has undergone a shift that is taking the organization further into the commitment we've made to our mission, vision, and guiding principles. - Shannon Carter, Board Chair: With over a decade in nonprofit and volunteer management, Shannon's experience in fundraising and dedication to educational, racial, and reproductive justice will be invaluable.
- Cantrel Connel: As a Doula, Community Healer, Reiki Master Teacher, and Educator, Cantrel will infuse our board with holistic healing perspectives.
- Dominique Ward: A Chicago native, Dominique's background in social services, project management, and personal experiences in maternal health will guide our efforts in addressing inequalities.
- Amanda Haith: Amanda's journey from naturopathic medicine to public health reflects a deep commitment to community wellness, enriching our public health initiatives.
- Rachel Williams: Rachel's focus on reproductive health, birth work, and advocacy, shaped by her own experiences, will drive our efforts in supporting diverse communities.
- Christina Corrigan: With a career shift from business to reproductive justice, Christina's passion for supporting families, especially in NICU environments, aligns perfectly with our mission.
