Welcome Matching Program Coordinator, veronica bohanan to CVD!

Program Coordinator Veronica

We are thrilled to announce that veronica precious bohanan has joined Chicago Volunteer Doulas (CVD) as our new Program Coordinator! veronica, who previously served as a Facilitator of the Doula Care Circles group, brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to supporting birthing persons.

veronica’s journey with CVD began with her active involvement in the Doula Care Circles, where she provided invaluable emotional support and wellness guidance to our community. These circles are safe spaces for doulas to share their truths, vulnerabilities, and challenges as they navigate the sacred work of birth support. veronica’s leadership in these circles has been instrumental in fostering a nonjudgmental environment that acknowledges the holistic nature of a doula’s work.

With a rich background as a board-certified art therapist, educator, program development specialist, writer, and interdisciplinary artist, veronica’s work spans healing-centered engagement, mental health and wellness, and justice. Her role as a lecturer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her founding of create.heal.share., LLC highlights her dedication to integrating cultural humility, spirituality, creativity, and wellness.

We are excited about the positive impact veronica will have in her new role as Matching Program Coordinator. Please join us in welcoming veronica precious bohanan to the CVD family!
