On International Women's Day 2025, Chicago Volunteer Doulas hosted a heartwarming CVD Community Baby Shower at the Lisseux Pastoral Center in Kankakee, IL. The event brought families together for a day filled with essential baby supplies, valuable resources, and exciting raffle prizes — all at no cost.
Every expecting family received a special gift bag, and seven lucky winners went home with standout prizes, including:
A co-sleeper for safer infant sleeping
Two high-quality breast pumps
A formula and baby bottle set
Bulk diapers and wipes
A pack-away bassinet for families on the go
